Job Overview

Our Client, one of the leading global companies in the beauty industry. Head Office based in New York with offices located in Cape Town, currently has a fantastic position open as a Supply Chain Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing company’s overall supply chain and demand planning strategy and operations in order to maximize the process efficiency and productivity. In addition, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining good relationships with vendors and distributors.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s level degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or related field

Languages: English: speak, read & write

Professional Experience:

  • +5 years of relevant experience in demand or supply planning
  • Cosmetics goods or FMCG industry experience highly preferable
  • Exposure to Distributor Business Model

Requirements:

  • Implement effective commercial planning processes (demand/supply); use S&OP as key business tool to align supply chain with the business strategy driving service, sales while optimizing cash (inventory) and Logistics costs
  • Support customer service function, ensuring sales/supply orders are received, processed and delivered on time according to customer requirement
  • Make sure products sold are following local relevant regulation requirement, specifically in term of labelling, registration and other related activities
  • Build strong cross functional relationship with key actors and senior management
  • Pioneer SC change and seek greater efficiencies while managing operational issues
  • Use KPI’s to measure effectiveness and root cause analysis to identify areas of focus
  • Report and review of all relevant monthly logistics KPI
  • Set up A&EA CB end to end supply chain to drive service reliability with business model change
  • Lead S&OP to develop rolling 18 months forecast with multi-function team, Innovation post tracking and inventory management, improve Forecast Accuracy KPIs
  • Manage and improve customer Service, Cost, and Cash to deliver division’s profit target
  • Manage interactions with 3PL (Indigo), providing Order Management and Logistics services, focus on CS KPIs (i.e., deliver the agreed Lead Time for orders processing, secure perfect billing accuracy), and Logistic KPIs (i.e. warehouse and transportation costs, agreed order picking accuracy, On Time shipments, IRA)

S&OP:

Lead & evolve local S&OP activity:

  • Life cycle and new initiatives review (including promotions)
  • Demand Review (unconstrained sales plan)
  • Supply review – pro-active identification of supply issues (missed $), inventory, excess & obsolete, etc
  • Integrated reconciliation – examine discrepancy between demand, supply, marketing activities, sales, financial plan
  • S&OP Meeting – review the critical gaps and agree on the decisions/action plans to reach alignment across all functions
